What we track

AutoProctor's proctoring settings are highly configurable. The test creator can decide what aspects of the candidate's exam environment must be tracked. In this article, we list everything that AutoProctor can track. What actually gets tracked depends on how the test creator has configured the test.

Data Feeds

What we Detect and Record

| Unlike other proctoring tools, we do not record the entire video or audio of the test session. AutoProctor detects the violations and shows you evidence of only the violations, so that you don't spend hours looking at each candidate's attempt.

Record noise and audio cues in the background
Capture a photo if the camera detects no faces or multiple faces
Capture screenshot when user switches to a different tab/application
Take Random Photos throughout the exam
Detect if the candidate is connected to more than one monitor
Take a photo of the candidate's face before the test starts

On AutoProctor's Test Settings page, you can configure details about the test's name, its time window and duration, what proctoring is enabled, how candidates log on to the test, etc. To get to the settings page, you can click on the Settings button next to each test from your dashboard.

What is a Socratease Quiz?

Socratease Quizzes are AutoProctor's own quizzing solution. Like Google and Microsoft Forms, they are easy to create. Unlike them, they were created specifically for online exams. So, they have many features that help you conduct online tests better. This article explains why you should choose Socratease Quizzes. Concurrency - Maximum Simultaneous Candidates

| The maximum concurrency depends on: (i) if proctoring is enabled; (ii) which plan you are on, and (iii) whether you are conducting the test on the AutoProctor website or on your own. The number varies from 50 to 10,000, and can also be increased if needed.

What is Max Concurrency?

Max Concurrency is the number of candidates who can start any test under your account within the same 60-second window. So, if you are looking for 1000 candidates who will start the test at 11:00 AM, you'd want a Max Concurrency of at least 1000 if you want all them to be admitted into the test between 11:00 and 11:01.

We calculate max concurrency per billing account, not per user or per test. So, if you've created Tests A and B, and your teammate has created Test C, and your account’s concurrency is 5000, it means a total of 5000 candidates (across all three tests) can begin within any given minute. For Standard Plan users (no Teams), this includes all tests under your individual account.

AutoProctor is a general-purpose AI proctoring platform. So, it ensures that candidates don't cheat on online quizzes and exams. It has its own quizzing solution called Socratease Quizzes. But, it also integrates with other quizzing solutions. When you create a test on AutoProctor, you must first specify which quiz provider you are choosing. You can add questions, points, etc to the Quiz, and configure the timer and proctoring settings on AutoProctor.
