What is a Socratease Quiz?

Socratease Quizzes are AutoProctor's own quizzing solution. Like Google and Microsoft Forms, they are easy to create. Unlike them, they were created specifically for online exams. So, they have many features that help you conduct online tests better. This article explains why you should choose Socratease Quizzes. The main reasons are: (i) single submit button; (ii) you can create and see the results in a single dashboard; (iii) multiple question types; (iii) advanced features like Import from Excel and Question Banks.

Demo Test

Things you *NEED* to know

Please read through these instructions very carefully. To date, hundreds of thousands of students have used AutoProctor. There are a few mistakes that are commonly committed. Due to these mistakes, either the students cannot take the test, or all the answers they submit are lost. If you follow these instructions properly, all this can be avoided!

No File Upload question in your Google Form: File Uploads are not compatible with AutoProctor. All other types of Questions are allowed.
Share Instructions with Students: Almost all the issues students face can be avoided if they read and follow instructions. If you are using only a Timer, read and share these instructions. If you are using the Proctor too, share these instructions. Most importantly, the instructions have a link to a demo test. Let your students take the demo test at least 24 hours before their actual test, so they know how to use the system.
Students must click on both Submit Buttons, else their answers will be lost: As mentioned in the Instructions above, there are two Submit Buttons within AutoProctor. What devices are compatible with AutoProctor's proctoring?

Browser and Device Compatibility

AutoProctor's proctoring algorithms depend on a few features that the test taker's browser and device must provide. For example, for video proctoring, we need access to the device's camera and the browser must allow us access to the camera feed.

The table below shows different operating systems and browsers and what their minimum version needs to be in order for the test taker to be able to start the test. If a browser and operating system combination isn't shown here (for example, Brave browser on Windows), it means that test takers cannot attempt the test on that browser.

Submit Buttons

Normally, on a Google Form, you have one Purple Submit button at the bottom of the Form. On AutoProctor, you have a Purple Submit button at the bottom, and a Green button at the top.
Always click on the Purple Submit button first, and then click the Green button. The Purple Button is shown as 1 in a red circle in the image above.
